Wall of Fame
The Cadillac & LaSalle Club Wall of Fame award was established in 2015 after the opening of the CLC Museum & Research Center (CLCMRC) building. This award is intended to honor those individuals who have contributed to the CLC and the CLCMRC in multiple ways over an extended period of time. Nominees are expected to have served the Club and its members to a significant extent, and it is expected that their efforts have promoted the CLC and advanced its purposes.
Nominees are considered by a separate Wall of Fame committee. Honorees may be announced at the Grand National or the CLCMRC Cadillac Fall Festival, and are honored with a commemorative plaque which is displayed at the Museum. The guidelines for nominations are as follows:
- Nominations may be made by any CLC member in good standing. A nomination form and supporting biography/documentation explaining how the nominee meets the criteria must be submitted to the Wall of Fame Selection Committee by the established deadline.
- Late or incomplete nominations will not be considered.
- No individual may nominate himself or herself.
- No current member of the Wall of Fame Selection Committee may be a nominee.
- A nominee may be living or deceased. If the nominee is deceased, he or she must have passed away at least one year prior to induction into the Wall of Fame.
- Qualified prior nominees will be considered by the committee along with the new nominees. If a nominee is not selected within a period of five years, that nomination will be removed from the list of active nominees.
- The nominee must have contributed significantly to the CLC at the National level in both leadership and its heritage, as well as having served in several capacities/different functional areas for 20 years or more. The nominee may be, but need not be, still active in the operation of the Club.
- The nominee must be of upstanding character and integrity.
- The nominee must be (or, if deceased, must have been) a CLC member in good standing. Provided, however, that an exception may be made to this requirement if approved by the CLC board of directors. (For example, a nominee who was not a CLC member but who is or was an Executive or key employee of General Motors or the Cadillac Motor Car Division.)
- The nominating committee consists of two CLC past presidents, a Regional vice president, a CLCMRC board member, and an Awards Committee member. These positions rotate in a staggering pattern every three years.
The deadline for nominations is March 1 of each year. Nominations may be submitted to Joseph Kausse, National Awards Committee Chair.
